Wanted: Camera map
The association would like to create a map of known surveillance cameras in the village and surrounding area so that we can understand if and where there are gaps and potentially work with businesses and property owners to fill these gaps. Can you help us create this? Let us know.
Wanted: Stats deep dive
We’d also like start to understand more about our demographic and future trends and opportunities. If you are someone who enjoys stats and deep diving into census data, we’d love to hear from you if you can help. Just reply to this newsletter or contact us through our website.
VILLAGE NEWS
Watercare decision due mid year
Watercare attended a meeting last year to update us on the Huia Raw Watermain Upgrade. They have updated that they are taking some additional time to test and examine the options and expect to advise on their plans in mid 2026. This is a project that will impact on those living and working towards Waima and Langholm, so we recommend that you stay informed and take part in any consultation or feedback opportunities offered.
Moody’s Chicken - so good
Have you tried it yet? Tucked away in Street Feast, Moody’s is a quiet achiever offering exceptional food: wings, bites, Sandos, waffles and shakes. The food is different, tasty and a great option when you are considering your lunch or dinner chices. Highly recommended.
Join us for the Anzac Parade and Service 2026
With the library closed, this year’s Anzac Service will be held at TItirangi Primary School at 1030am. The Parade starts at 1015am from Hardware Cafe.
