Issue 1 - the association is launched
Hello everyone!
We are stoked to be able to tell you that it’s official: the Titirangi Business Association is now legit! Our application for registration was accepted by MBIE last month and we are now working on all the necessaries to get up and running - as you can see our awesome new brand, designed by local graphic designer Anna Tunnell is looking great and we have Stage 1 of our website, www.titirangivillage.nz live and accepting membership applications.
Look out for a story about the brand and Anna’s work in the December issue of Fringe Magazine.
The association is early in its journey but we have a core group committed to its future, and all the ingredients to take it forward.
For now we are working on being involved in Twilight in the Village on the evening of Friday 5 December, connecting with the community and organising some meetings focused on interesting topics!
A big congratulations to the organisers of the Titirangi Music Festival for such an epic line up on the weekend! So good!

What happens at our meetings?
Meetings are held at 8am on the first Tuesday of each month in the Level 1 Seminar Room at Lopdell House. Grab a coffee from one of the village cafes and join in. They take around an hour.
The next meeting is Tuesday 4 November and will include:
This month’s special guest speaker is from Watercare, updating us on the Water Treatment Plant construction, where they are at and what is happening - and also an opportunity to think about what the opportunities might be for local businesses.
Following this, the association’s board meets to work through items on the agenda. You are welcome to stay for this part, or to get on with your day.
If you are a member and would like to be added to calendar invites and have access to agendas and minutes, just let us know by replying to this email.
Website live and membership applications are now open

Village Views
Twilight in the Village and turning on of the Christmas lights!
Twilight in the Village on the evening of Friday 5 December organised by the Lopdel Precinct and local businesses looks fantastic! Check out details here
Bright Lights little Village will be turning the Christmas lights plus live music and choirs, a colouring competition, Santa’s Mailbox, Fresh Choice Elves, Titirangi Baptist Church Treasure Hunt and Santa photos. We’ll bring you more details in our next issue!
Safety in the village
At our September meeting we really enjoyed talking with Fiona Barker and Chris Woodward from Green Bay High School who let us know how they are helping to address some less than ideal behaviour from a small number of young people in the village.
We also enjoyed meeting Titirangi’s new Community Constable - if you ever have any questions or concerns about anything, reach out through the New Lynn Station.
Vision West
Sarah and Marianne Vision West also introduced themselves at our October meeting to tell us not only about the good work they do in the community but also the opportunities for businesses to contribute to this organisation. We are happy to pass on details if youd like to contact them.
