Here is some of the latest news from your association.
As you’ll see there are a few events coming up - new memberships continue and we are continuing our focus on advocacy. With around 40 members onboard before the end of our first year, we’re on track.

Our free meet up networking event returns to Iti!

Coffee morning meet up for Titirangi businesses
8am-915am Wednesday 9 September. Brought to us by the Lopdell Trust, enjoy a complimentary muffin and coffee in Lopdell House and catch up on the projects. Order your complimentary coffee at the Deco counter and head upstairs.
Hear from the local designer behind our brand, Kim from Tonic Spa on why she joined the association, and more. You can also connect with reps from the Lopdell Trust Board, Titirangi Fringe, the Lopdell Precinct and the Titirangi Christmas lights project. The chairs of both the TBA and Lopdell Trust Board will be there to answer your questions.

Submissions
One of our core roles is advocacy and it was great to get a submission in to the Waitākere Ranges Local Board this month on their Local Board Plan. It was an opportunity to speak up for our village on some of the problematic issues including buses and road maintenance.

Watercare Raw Watermains option finalised
Following environmental investigations, technical assessments, cultural input and community engagement, Watercare has identified a preferred option for both projects which will progress to the next stage of planning.
Upper Nihotupu Raw Watermain Option 3: A tunnel from Seavers Camp to the replacement Water Treatment Plant.
Huia Raw Watermain Option 6 - conveying water from the Lower Nihotupu dam via a new tunnel at the Parau disposal site to connect with the Upper Nihotupu tunnel at Jacobson's Depot.

Library reopens!
It's official! Our beloved Titirangi Community Library and foyer will reopen on Monday 10 August. The building is now safer and more water tight. The eight parking spaces occupied by the book bus, along with two spaces being used by the contractor, will once again be available for everyone in our community to use.
The Hall and the remaining areas of the building are expected to reopen in late 2026. During construction, the teams discovered more rot than anticipated, so repairs are taking longer.
Openings and closings
Wood Bay Road is now open. Tanekaha Road is on a daytime closure schedule until around mid August when it should be open, one lane only, for the most part.
